Giorgos Peikos is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Primary Education, University of Western Macedonia, Greece.

2009-2013: Bachelor’s Degree from the Department of the Primary Education, University of Western Macedonia
2013-2016: Master’s degree in Educational Sciences (specialization in Science Education) from the Department of the Primary Education, University of Western Macedonia
2017-2018: Certificate of specialization in Special Education (Training courses: 600 hours).
2017- today: PhD candidate in Science Education, University of Western Macedonia. Thesis title: Nanoscale phenomena and concepts: learning and teaching issues in primary school
Scholarship
His PhD study is co-financed by Greece and the European Union (European Social Fund- ESF) through the Operational Programme Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning in the context of the project “Strengthening Human Resources Research Potential via Doctorate Research” (MIS-5000432), implemented by the State Scholarships Foundation (ΙΚΥ).
Teaching Experience
2013-2015 and 2020-today: Supporting the laboratory teaching of the course “Concepts of Physics and their Representations”, (Department of the Primary Education, University of Western Macedonia) under the supervision of the prof. Anna Spyrtou.
2016-today: Center for Talented Youth (CTY) at Anatolia College. Instructor of the course “Nanotechnology: Billionths at work”.
2017-2020: Teacher in private primary school (Arsakeio Primary School of Thessaloniki)
