Postdoctoral researcher Alexandros Amprazis was a guest speaker in the International Summer School of Zhejiang University (ZJU) that was held from 27th June to 11th July 2022. That was a beginning of collaboration with one of China’s top higher education institutions. ZJU was founded in 1897 and it is organized across seven Faculties and 39 Schools. It is home to 4,383 full-time faculty members, including 30 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 31 members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. ZJU has 63,136 full-time students, over 53% of whom are postgraduate students. ZJU currently ranks among the top three on Chinese mainland and within the top 100 in the Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings and QS World University Rankings. Eighteen disciplines of ZJU have been selected for China’s “Double First-class” Initiative (3rd in China) and 39 disciplines graded A in the recent national assessment (1st in China).
